The Lundberg Family has been farming rice and producing rice products at their farms in the Sacramento Valley since 1937. Now led by its third generation, Lundberg Family Farms has committed to organic and eco-positive farming practices to produce wholesome, healthful rice products while protecting and improving the environment for future generations.

Thanks to the hard work of Lundberg employees, that commitment extends beyond our fields and into each of Lundberg’s facilities. Dedicated employees have helped accomplish many of Lundberg’s waste goals such as increased diversion, continued focus on reducing overall facility waste, and facility-wide participation in Lundberg’s Zero Waste Program.

Zero waste program highlights:

  • Recycling programs have been created to divert hard-to-recycle materials from the landfill including uniforms, nitrile glove, hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs.
  • Paperless initiatives have helped reduce waste. Some of the initiatives include electronic paystubs, duel-sided printing, electronic billing system, and an e-board, which was installed in employee breakrooms for company communication.
