As the zero waste movement grows, local, regional and international policies are helping to expand the field. In this International Summit session, hear about the role of local infrastructure in designing and implementing successful zero waste policies. This session will be led by Casey Mahalick from Colgate-Palmolive Company and others.
Tues., November 13, 1–5 p.m.
In this workshop, take a deep dive into zero waste certification. Explore the TRUE Zero Waste Rating System, synergies with LEED and the power of employee engagement in developing and implementing zero waste practices and policies. This session will be led by Vance Merolla, global director at Colgate-Palmolive Company, and Nadereh Afsharmanesh, vice president of sustainability and education at Earth Friendly Products.
Thurs., November 15, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Learn how Eataly applied zero waste principles to its design and operations across multiple restaurants, retail and on-site food processing.
