Allyson Tombesi

I am the Sustainability Lead at Faryl Robin Footwear. I oversee company wide sustainability strategy and development by establishing goals and measures for each strategic pillar with the leadership team. I work with people across the organization to achieve our goals by developing systems that measure the company's progress and results.

I am committed to educating employees and communities about sustainable, circular and zero waste practices. By providing knowledge, confidence and tools needed to apply sustainable practices at both work and home, I hope to empower, inspire and challenge each person I meet throughout my career to reduce climate change.

I previously was employed by Titan Florida, LLC as an Environmental Engineer where I led the initiative to upgrade Titan America's largest cement plant from TRUE Gold to TRUE Platinum. I trained over 100 employees at the Pennsuco Cement Complex on various topics including proper waste disposal, environmentally preferred purchasing, and waste audit analysis.

I graduated from Florida International University's College of Engineering and Computing in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. I am committed to continuously growing and evolving as a sustainability professional. Since graduation, I have actively pursued advancing my education along with industry knowledge through webinars, trainings, professional certificate programs and credentialing programs. Currently, I am a TRUE Advisor, LEED Green Associate and ENV SP (Envision Sustainability Professional). Additionally, I have earned certificates on: carbon reduction strategy from the Center for Sustainability and Excellence and SDG001: How to Achieve the SDGs from edX. I plan to continuously expand my background and formal training as opportunities arise throughout my career.
