Celestica Japan is a key branch of Celestica, a global leader dedicated to promoting sustainable consumption through the efficient use of materials across our operations. With deep expertise in the design, production, and service of cutting-edge technology solutions, Celestica Japan is at the forefront of innovation. Our portfolio includes advanced storage, computing, and networking Hardware Platform Solutions, offering industry-leading quality, flexibility, and customization to meet the demands of today's rapidly evolving markets.

Our zero-waste policy at Celestica Japan is focused on achieving 100% waste recovery through a comprehensive approach that includes waste reduction, reuse, reclamation, and recycling. This initiative not only minimizes the environmental impact of landfilling and incineration but also promotes the efficient use of resources. We collaborate closely with our customers to develop sustainable models encompassing product design, maintenance, reuse, remanufacturing, and recycling. Through our product take-back programs and asset recovery services, we work to expand the circular economy by ensuring valuable materials are diverted from disposal streams and reintroduced into the marketplace.

In our journey to achieve TRUE certification, Celestica Japan partnered with Woonerf Inc., a consulting firm located in Tokyo, Japan, specializing in sustainability and international built environment certification consulting, sustainability-related engineering, and technical solutions, including zero-waste. Woonerf Inc.'s zero waste experts, Ryoji Nakayama and Mengmeng Zheng provided invaluable assistance throughout the process, offering expert advice on waste reduction and helping us navigate the documentation and audit phases required for certification. Their support was instrumental in aligning our practices with the rigorous standards of the TRUE certification, further solidifying our commitment to sustainability.

“Sustainability isn’t something we do, it’s in everything we do. For more than two decades we have taken responsibility for the social and environmental footprint of our operations by integrating strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and practices into every part of our business,” said Rob Mionis, Celestica CEO. “We deepened our commitment to sustainable consumption through the efficient use of materials within our operations, tracking waste diversion rates at a site and global level. Celestica Japan is the first manufacturing project in Japan to be TRUE certified. This achievement reflects the steadfast commitment that Celestica has to environmental responsibility across all our locations and our continued enthusiasm for environmental stewardship. Celestica has shown the reality of our impacts and met the challenges to reduce them by committing to ethical and responsible environmental stewardship."
