National Zero Waste Conference

The National Zero Waste Conference is the annual two-day virtual educational and networking event organized by Zero Waste USA and partners, including TRUE. Zero Waste Business is the focus on Wednesday, November 30 and Zero Waste Communities on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Join us for this exciting event!


Design for Deconstruction: The Circular Economy and NYC’s Building Industry

The event, hosted by the AIANY Civic Leadership Program, will explore the environmental, financial, and social impacts of construction and demolition waste disposal in NYC, as well as options for waste management that enable material circularity. Speakers will present case studies highlighting innovative deconstruction strategies, alongside barriers to implementation in the city. The panelists will then join for a discussion on ways in which New York City can transition from a linear to circular economy in the building sector.

Leading the event from this year’s CLP cohort are Tosin Bamidele, Kim Choy, Steven Corsello, Kasey Motley, and Nicolas Savvides.

10th International Dialogue of the Zero Waste International Alliance

Join TRUE for an opportunity to connect with international leaders and experts in the field of zero waste, sustainability and the circular economy in Costa Rica.

Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA) has presence in 34 countries on five continents and operates at international, national and local levels and involves all sectors of society. ZWIA was established to promote alternatives that prevent waste from reaching landfills or being incinerated, promoting the recovery of useful materials and raising awareness of the social and economic benefits obtained when waste is seen as an opportunity to generate jobs and establish new enterprises.

This year, Costa Rica has been chosen to host the 10th International Dialogue of the Zero Waste International Alliance. Experts from the United States, Canada, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Italy, Sweden and the Philippines will participate in the dialogue, which will be available to all ZWIA member countries, including presentations by Stephanie Barger, director of market transformation for TRUE.
