Of the original eight Cintas DC's to begin the zero waste to landfill program over six years ago, Chicago was the only one left to complete TRUE certification. Our Chicago DC is to be applauded, under the leadership of Glade Parrish and Justin Perry, our partner-employees consistently hit the diversion goal for well over the twelve month period requirement. An area of improvement that really moved the needle for them is the newer process of baling and shipping textile scrap and plastic film to Leigh Fibers. Also donating items for reuse to Matthew 25 Ministries, a large Midwest charity organization. Despite many challenges re: current recycling landscape, our Chicago employee-partners have overcome multiple obstacles to get where they are today and are very excited to have earned TRUE GBCI Gold certification!
