Project Overview:

The Haleon Nyon Campus has embarked on an ambitious project to achieve TRUE certification, underscoring our commitment to sustainability and zero waste. This project has been marked by the implementation of innovative zero waste practices and policies that have significantly transformed our operations. One of the key innovations has been the active engagement of employees in the production facility, where best practices for sorting waste at the source were identified and implemented. This hands-on approach not only streamlined waste management processes but also fostered a culture of sustainability among our workforce.

Financially, the project has yielded substantial savings by diverting sorted waste from incineration. By meticulously sorting waste at the source, we have been able to reduce disposal costs and generate revenue from recyclable materials. Employees have been highly motivated to participate in waste sorting, making it an integral part of their daily routines. This shift in behaviour has become second nature, contributing to the overall success of our zero waste initiatives.

Our efforts have resulted in the diversion of 93% of non-hazardous waste from landfill and incineration, a remarkable achievement that highlights our commitment to environmental stewardship. These practices not only benefit the Haleon community by promoting environmentally friendly habits but also positively impact our bottom line. Additionally, our zero waste practices have extended benefits to local communities through the donation of food, furniture, electronics, and other items that would have otherwise gone to waste. This initiative has strengthened our ties with the community and demonstrated our dedication to social responsibility.

"Achieving TRUE certification for our campus was a milestone for Haleon Nyon-Prangins," said Brice Valton, Site EHS & Engineering Director. "This certification not only validates our commitment to sustainability and zero waste but also underscores our dedication to environmental stewardship, operational efficiency, and social responsibility. By adhering to the rigorous standards set by the TRUE certification, we are able to demonstrate our leadership in sustainable practices, enhance our reputation, and contribute positively to the community and the environment. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and it sets a benchmark for future initiatives on the campus."
