H&H Zhongshan has continued to work hard in reducing waste at all points of generation, and sustainable production. The honors won by the products of H&H Zhongshan are inseparable from our unremitting pursuit of taking on environmental protection as its own responsibility; supporting innovation, and cultivating a sustainable future as its vision. As an international enterprise specializing in the development and production of high-quality oral care products, H&H Zhongshan established a sustainable development committee as early as 2008. Led by the management team, we established a sustainable plan in line with the company's long-term development goals. We have always paid attention to eliminating or reducing waste before it is generated, engaging employees with activities like “Clear the Plate” in the kitchen areas, working with lawn service providers to practice grasscycling, and implementing innovative ways to recycle production waste.
H&H Zhongshan has actively carried out clean production work since 2010. Along the way, H&H Zhongshan has implemented more than 50 clean production plans, saving more than 2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by millions of tons, and reducing tens of tons of solid waste. Because of the considerable environmental benefits created, H&H Zhongshan was rated as "Guangdong Province Cleaner Production Enterprise" in 2011, and "Guangdong-Hong Kong Cleaner Production Excellent Partner" in 2017 and 2020 respectively. In addition, H&H Zhongshan is more committed to building a water-saving enterprise. It has introduced a series of water-saving equipment such as reverse osmosis water treatment wastewater reuse systems, and water-saving water appliances in the production of factories, actively conceived and developed wastewater recycling, and strictly controlled water consumption. Metering management has achieved remarkable results in water savings, and was subsequently awarded the title of "2019 Zhongshan Water-saving Enterprise".
H&H Zhongshan has always adhered to a sustainable development desire, that is, "to provide employees, partners and communities with a safe, stable, healthy and green environment"; to influence and promote the participation of employees with onsite waste reduction activities, creating “green teams” to help audit and implement zero waste efforts, training partners and contractors over our zero waste policy, and partnering with community organizations. We continue to work together to create a pollution-free, harmless, low-carbon, recyclable, healthy and green ecological community. Building on the strong fundamentals of the environmental structure and awareness, we keep putting continuous efforts towards reducing,reuse & recycling of our solid waste, and aiming to reduce the waste to landfill. In 2018 we were TRUE-certified to the Platinum level.
