To further reduce environmental impact, the program includes battery recycling stations accessible to both employees and visitors, ensuring safe disposal of single-use and rechargeable batteries. The data center also achieves zero hazardous waste generation and storage by carefully selecting vendors, materials, and maintenance procedures that eliminate the need for hazardous chemicals. This strategic sourcing and operations model not only ensures regulatory compliance but also eliminates the risks and costs associated with hazardous waste handling.
The program encourages a culture of reuse by eliminating disposable service ware. Employees are provided with reusable cups, plates, and silverware, significantly reducing single-use plastic and packaging waste.
