The TRUE v2 rating system is in development
The newest version of the world’s leading zero waste rating system is in progress. Incorporating valuable input from the TRUE community collected over several years, we are excited to present the first draft of the TRUE v2 rating system for your feedback: because TRUE must work for you.
Current projects can continue to use the existing TRUE rating system to pursue certification.
Now open for feedback: TRUE v2 public consultation
The TRUE v2 public consultation period is open from February 25, 2026 to March 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
During the public consultation feedback period, we seek input from all stakeholders—there are no restrictions on who may view the changes and provide feedback. The input will be incorporated as we refine the draft for a second version.

Submit your comments.
- Using this form, participants can submit comments on general content and strategy, prerequisites and credits in the draft rating system.
- To access the form, participants have two options:
- Log into your account (suggested). This will keep a log of all comments submitted to the form over time, so you can continue to add and adjust your feedback any time during the public consult period in one place.
- Submit the form as a guest. After sharing basic contact information, you can submit as many forms as you wish without creating an account. However, you will not be able to access the history of your previously submitted comments. Note that the form will not save if you exit the window in guest mode.
