Randa Apparel & Accessories (Randa) Glenrothes, Scotland Distribution Center (DC), is a key regional distribution hub for accessories and luggage. The site supports Randa’s broader zero-waste-to-landfill and circularity goals by actively avoiding waste, reusing materials, expanding recycling and composting, and reducing packaging impacts through collaboration with external partners, and associates.

Key initiatives at the DC include a “full carton in, full carton out” approach; reuse of cartons, pallets, and packaging materials; on-site composting for organic waste; and the use of refurbished, durable equipment. The facility has reduced paper use through right-sized cartons, paperless workflows, double-sided printing, and reusable alternatives to single-use products. Quarterly waste audits and “highest and best use” reviews help identify additional opportunities to prevent waste.

Associate engagement has been central to the site’s success. Associates support waste audits and implement suggestion programs and training, awareness campaigns, and local litter cleanups. These efforts have increased material reuse, recycling opportunities, reduced landfill disposal, and created a closed-loop composting system that returns organic material generated on site to the facility’s landscaping. Scotland DC’s Platinum achievement reflects ongoing collaboration and disciplined waste-reduction practices that support Randa’s broader sustainability priorities.
