Project Overview:

Tempe belongs to the fashion company Inditex, where we design, market and distribute the footwear and accessories of the seven Inditex brands. The headquarters and logistics centers are located in Elche in the south of the province of Alicante, Spain. The facilities consist of several office buildings where all products are designed and three automated logistics centers where they are stored and distributed to all stores worldwide.

Inditex is committed to achieving zero waste in global operations by the end of 2023. The company's goal is for waste to be collected and properly managed at its corporate headquarters, logistics centers, factories and stores for possible reuse or recycling. This challenge not only involves properly sorting the various materials for treatment and subsequent recycling, but also presents an opportunity to rethink its processes so that they avoid generating waste in the first place and instead maximize the use of those resources in their design, logistics, storage and end-of-life operations.

As projects that provide added value, it is worth mentioning the reuse of our boxes until the end of their useful life as well as the circularity once recycled, upcycling projects with material that was going to become waste (photo canvases become bags, covers for cutlery, etc.), reuse of wooden pallets in our processes, reuse of leather scraps, reduction of film consumption in pallet wrapping and various projects to reduce office paper.
