Nader Hajj Shehadeh is Executive Director and Principal Consultant of Otibara (formerly OTB Consult), a sustainability consultancy he founded in Lebanon in 2014. In energy and climate since 2007, he brings an engineer's view to waste: what flows through a facility, what it costs to run, and what it emits. His waste work includes the feasibility study, solar PV plant and energy audit for the Bechmezine material recovery facility, the energy audit and solarisation of the Qaroun material recovery facility, energy audits across a recycling value chain in Lebanon, and a plastic waste recycling feasibility study, scale-up action plan and knowledge handbook for Salah al-Din Governorate, Iraq. He holds the CEM, CMVP and CEA credentials and is an ISO 14064 Lead Auditor, linking waste decisions to their carbon impact.
