With over a decade of experience in the sustainability field, Maximilian currently serves as the Assistant Director of Sustainability for the California Institute of Technology. Max brings a wealth of knowledge in energy planning, water and landscape management, mobility, waste, emissions, and the built environment. His work involves collaboration with various entities within Caltech to take a holistic approach to sustainability including implementation of Caltech’s first campus sustainability plan. He previously worked in sustainability for the University of Wisconsin Health system. Max holds a Masters of Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and a Bachelors of Sustainable Energy, Materials, and Technology from Arizona State University.
