Jarrod Kuhn has been delivering corporate sustainability innovations for more than 20 years. As GM for an international manufacturer, this included leading a cross-functional “green team." Among other environmentally-preferable outcomes, this team developed and patented an industry-changing, non-toxic denatured fuel product which has had commercial success worldwide.
Jarrod has held senior positions in global sourcing and supply chain management for manufacturers, distributors and importers of consumer and institutional products, primarily involving packaged goods with chemical ingredients, working on-site in dozens of countries. He’s held other leadership roles in product development, global logistics, customer service, legal and regulatory compliance. Jarrod has leveraged this diverse business experience, and his skills as a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, into a multifaceted approach to sustainability projects, applying well with cross-functional teams and stakeholder groups.
Jarrod earned his JD in Law from Taft Law School and received the American Jurisprudence Award for legal writing in an Environmental Law research project. He is a Certified Product Safety Professional, designated by Virginia Tech and the Society of Product Safety Professionals. Jarrod's work in a variety of business disciplines has been published by Harvard, MIT, Journal of Commerce and others. DC Velocity Magazine named him to its annual “Rainmaker” list for contributions he's made to the supply chain and distribution management profession.
He is a consumer products subcommittee chairperson for ASTM and has chaired technical panels for UL resulting in several health, safety and environmental product standards in use today throughout North America, in addition to working with UL-science teams to co-develop Environmental Validation Claims standards for the safe-emissions of combustion products.
