Katie Homa

Katie Homa has focused her career on helping companies in the food space make business cases for sustainability. Based in Berlin, Germany, HelloFresh is the leading meal kit provider in the world, operating in 14 markets. As Senior Sustainability Manager for HelloFresh US, Katie manages sustainable packaging strategy, food waste management reduction, and internal and external communications for the full environmental sustainability program. In her 5 years at HelloFresh, Katie has cascaded organics recycling to all HelloFresh sites and worked cross functionally to set food waste reduction targets at the global and local levels. She has also worked with the Packaging team to set internal goals on sustainable packaging initiatives such as lightweighting and shifts to paper-based solutions, all while ensuring ingredient quality and safety. Katie is based out of Denver, where you can often find her climbing or hiking peaks with her dog Summit.
