Chin Peng managed building audit projects and played instrumental roles in those involving mechanical and electrical works in buildings such as air conditioning and ventilation services. Amongst her notable works include investigation and software simulation of interstitial and internal moisture condensation using hygrothermal simulation software, WUFI (Wärme Und Feuchte Instationär developed by Fraunhofer Institute, Germany).
She leads Research and Development projects within the organization to develop new capabilities in the field of non-destructive testing techniques such as infrared thermography, ground penetrating radar and technical photography using multi-spectral camera, and hardware and software for digital documentation. She has experience with data capturing techniques such as Matterport, Artec structured light scanner and Lidar (GeoSLAM), terrestrial Lidar (Leica)
She attained M.Sc. (World Heritage Conservation). Her interests and passion are in digital documentation, building science, and heritage archaeology. Her works in this area include the assessment and conservation of heritage statues (bronze statues and cast-iron fountains) and the assessment of pre-war structures.
