Elizabeth Mitchell

Hello! I am a young professional working at HDR Engineering out of Minneapolis, Minnesota with a focus in environmental engineering. I'm really passionate about zero waste in my personal life and want to bridge my personal and professional life by pursuing zero waste / circular economy projects! At HDR, I contribute to the design of water treatment and distribution systems, wastewater collection and treatment systems, assist with solid waste planning and management projects, coordinate owner's engineer reviews for renewable energy projects, act as assistance project manager for multiple projects and advance environmental sustainability at my office. I studied environmental engineering at St Cloud State University ('22) where I also swam on the Men's & Women's swim and dive team. I have recently started swimming again in preparation of the 2026 triathlon season, I like the sprint length :) I also enjoy bouldering, climbing, trail running, hiking, yoga, and being outside in general!
