Sustainability coordinator specialized in food sourcing and waste management. At UC Berkeley, I project manage efforts and communication for sustainability initiatives for the university residential halls and dining services for over 12,000 residents and 15,000 meals per day. This includes managing sustainable food procurement and zero waste for four dining halls, four dining retail locations, and seven campus restaurants, with the goal of serving food at the intersection of delicious, nutritious, and sustainable. In addition to focusing on plant- forward cooking, I work with our chefs to prioritize using ingredients that are locally grown, humanely- treated, and environmentally and socially responsible. Before UC Berkeley, I was a Sustainability Coordinator for UC Davis Dining Services in partnership with Sodexo. In addition, I assisted in the management and operations of the Davis Farmers Market, and was privately contracted to manage zero waste events. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis and have been certified by the US Green Business Council as a TRUE Advisor.
