Dara's career centers around minimizing waste with a focus on the material world. Beginning her career at the U.S. Green Building Council, she focused on general LEED Implementation, the launch of LEEDv4, and developing the LEED for Neighborhood Development. She then left to begin her own business. Less Equals More, where she coaches and educates about her Meaningful Minimalism method. She authored Meaningful Minimalism: Align Your Life from the Inside Out and is a TEDx speaker. She now works at the City of Austin Resource Recovery department, working with businesses on zero waste practices.
