TRUE Advisor

 ABOUT ME

  • I am an impact-driven professional pivoting to a career to help businesses and communities adopt and implement zero waste and circular economy strategies. I am known for building strong stakeholder relationships, strategic thinking, and bringing a process-oriented approach to drive operational efficiencies and program success. As a career-long information professional, I have served customers as a trusted advisor, helping them leverage the insights, best practices, and digital tools that inform and support their objectives.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • In addition to my TRUE Advisor certification, I completed the Zero Waste USA Intro to Zero Waste course. I am also a Climatebase Fellow, versed in climate fundamentals and applied solutions. Fellowship activities deepened my knowledge of the waste reduction ecosystem and resource use & efficiency, including co-authoring a research project on the state of event waste and the opportunity for reuse systems; and serving on the leadership committee of the Fellow-led Climatebase Circular Economy group.

  • Hands-on experience includes participating on a Zero Waste audit for a federal building with a Zero Waste consultancy; and being the Zero Waste Advisor at Oak Cliff Earth Day 2025, an outdoor event that attracts more than 2,000 attendees and 100+ vendors. In this role, I assessed current state materials collection and logistics, implemented year-1 strategies to increase recyclables collection and reduce recyclables contamination, identified long-term areas of focus to integrate additional zero waste strategies, and educated the leadership committee about best practices for zero waste at events and partnering with city agencies for success.
