As a Chef, I have a wide variety of interest, but my main goal at this time is to educate. I am a LEED Green Associate, a Green Classroom Professional and have my TRUE Advisor certificate. In the pasted ten years I have also acquired 19 badges. My enthusiasm shows when I am sharing my knowledge of flavor profiles, teaching cooking techniques, and enlighten my students with time saving short-cuts. I have the willingness to try just about anything and the wit to keep a table full of guest laughing. I started helping out in a kitchen at an early age. I moved back home to the state of Texas in 1992. I continue to work in the food and beverage industries today as an instructor, pursuing my passion for teaching exotic flavors of the world, inspired by 20 years as a military dependent. I have worked at Central Market in Austin Texas for the past 24 years and 21 of them have been in our Cooking School. I have cooked with and washed dishes for some of the best chefs from around the world. My partner is an Architect , a LEED Legacy, and has a hyper focus on sustainability (that was how I learned about USGBC).
