Paul Grimshaw
Sustainability Director, INFICON - ISS Syracuse
TRUE Advisor
I have extensive experience working in corporate sustainability, as well as in environmental and biological monitoring. During my tenure at two organizations, I was responsible for creating sustainability strategies and generating actionable roadmaps for what to do to achieve the desired outcomes. I was also the project manager for specific sustainability initiatives from cradle to closure of the project. The projects have been very diverse from performing Greenhouse Gas Emission inventories, creating native landscapes to address biodiversity, implementing composting, expanding material reuse and recycling, installation of EV chargers, and educating employees via the use of many forms of media and live events.
In addition to organizational sustainability, I have extensive business experience in developing new products from voice-of-the-customer, research, product development using Agile methodologies, and market release activities (marketing communication and sales). I am now applying circular design and economic methods using a derivative of Lean Start-up called the Circular Canvas technique. Applying circular product and business design is one of the better ways to accelerate the achievement of Zero Waste and sustainability goals because it integrates it into the business structure and strategy.
