Dr. Petrena Prince is an experienced Consultant and Program Manager with over 20 years at IBM, where she has led transformative initiatives at the intersection of digital innovation, business automation, and environmental sustainability. With a PhD in Environmental Science, she brings scientific rigor and strategic insight to every challenge. Petrena is also a LEED Green Associate and is a TRUE Advisor, underscoring her commitment to sustainable design and zero waste principles. In her current dual roles as Global Sustainability Program Manager for IBM Global Real Estate and Environmental Manager for IBM EMEA, Petrena leads cross-functional programs that advance IBM’s goals in circularity, biodiversity, and water stewardship. Passionate about the power of technology, she is pioneering the use of AI in biodiversity monitoring as IBM’s Client Zero—delivering measurable environmental impact across global operations. Petrena has developed her leadership through previous roles such as Global Offering Leader for Responsible Computing, EMEA Technical Program Leader, and IBM University Programs Leader for Europe, focusing on building strong partnerships, clear communication, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams. Beyond her professional achievements, Petrena is a passionate advocate for mental health and neurodiversity, a mentor to students from underserved backgrounds, and an active member of the University of Edinburgh Industry Board. A lifelong learner, she continuously upskills to stay ahead of change. Based in Cheshire, England, Petrena is also a proud wife and mother of two—and is currently training for her black belt in Korean Kickboxing.
