Kathryn Slaughter

Kathryn is an experienced Waste & Diversion Strategist in the mountains and rural mountain areas of Colorado. She is the Founder of VERT Sites, a Materials Management and waste diversion and reduction consulting and service firm. VERT Sites manages, reduces, and diverts waste for events, hospitality, construction, and commercial business leaders and helps facilities reach their zero waste goals and zero waste certifications. Before founding VERT Sites LLC, Kathryn managed Sales & Marketing Outreach for a hauling service company, was the Sustainability Manager for Breckenridge Grand Vacations, and served as the Recycling Coordinator for Keystone Ski Resort. She serves on The Town of Breckenridge Pay As You Throw Committee and The Town of Breckenridge Recycling Taskforce, The Summit County Zero Waste Taskforce, and serves on Recycle Colorado’s C & D Council. She is a freelance contributor in the waste industry and is passionate about reducing waste locally, nationally, and globally.
